1.On December 16, 2005, Xi'an Cummins was established. It is a joint venture jointly formed by Shaanxi Automobile Group and Cummins of the United States with a 50:50 equity ratio.
2.In August 2007, the company officially went into production. Its modern factory is located in Jingwei Industrial Park, Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of approximately 200 mu, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units.
The company adopts a technology introduction model synchronized with the European and American markets to produce the Cummins ISM series 11-liter fully electronically controlled heavy-duty diesel engines. These engines meet the Euro II (National II), Euro III (National III), and Euro IV (National IV) emission standards. Many models of Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Trucks, such as Shaanxi Automobile Delong X3000 and Delong M3000, are equipped with the ISM11 engine. Some export models also use this engine. For example, all 30 Shaanxi Automobile X3000 heavy trucks exported to the United Arab Emirates are equipped with the Cummins ISM11L, 420-horsepower heavy-duty engine produced by Xi'an Cummins. The 6x6 Delong F3000 tractor exported to Guinea is equipped with the Xi'an Cummins ISM11 engine, with a maximum output power of 420 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2000 N·m. In addition, the SHACMAN F3000 dump truck exported to Bolivia is equipped with a Cummins 345-horsepower engine.
3.On March 5, 2010, the product promotion meeting of Foton Auman CTX equipped with Xi'an Cummins ISM engines was held.
4.On April 9, 2010, at the 14th China West-East Cooperation and Investment and Trade Fair, Xi'an Cummins comprehensively displayed the latest environmentally friendly engine products and technologies, with a focus on showcasing the Cummins ISM11-liter heavy-duty engine model that meets the National IV emissions standards.
5.On June 4, 2010, the end-user return visit and appreciation symposium of Foton Auman CTX products was held at the Xi'an Cummins factory.
6.On October 15, 2010, the 10,000th ISM type 11-liter fully electronically controlled diesel engine officially rolled off the production line. The board of directors of Xi'an Cummins approved the second-phase expansion project. After completion, the annual production capacity will double on the existing basis.
7.In 2022, the 50,000-unit engine and technology center construction project of Xi'an Cummins was carried out. In cooperation with the East Asia R & D Center of Cummins, the design, development, application matching, and other R & D work of National VI diesel engines and National VI natural gas engines were conducted, and the localized testing of commercial vehicle engines was realized.
8.On November 29, 2023, Anhui Cummins celebrated its fifth anniversary.
9.On August 8, 2024, the 15th anniversary of Xi'an Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. and the offline event of the 15-liter engine were held under the theme of "Accompanying for 15 Years, Joining Hands for the Future". During the event, the new factory with a second-phase engine production capacity of 100,000 units was officially put into production. It features four characteristics: "automation, flexibility, digitalization, and humanization", and can meet the manufacturing needs of various products in multiple forms. At the same time, the offline Xiaoxiang Power M15 engine brings three advantages of energy saving, high efficiency, and intelligence. It adopts a new bowl-shaped piston design, has a significant fuel-saving effect, strong power output, and a peak torque of up to 3200 N·m. It also adopts intelligent technologies such as Cummins Smart Brain 2.0 technology.
